Paris Haute Couture

If you are looking for an excuse to go to Paris in the near future, I may have just found one for you.

The “Hotel de Ville” – Paris’ City Hall – will be the home for a major exposition “Paris Haute Couture” starting March 2 and running through July 6, 2013.

Many of the Collections, which feature pieces by Chanel, Balenciaga, Vionnet, Courrèges, Givenchy, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and more, are normally housed in the Galliera, Paris’ Fashion Museum. With the Museum currently closed for renovation, the city hall is showing many of its beautiful works for free. The expo traces 150 years of Paris couture fashion and also includes designer sketches – usually my favorite part of these exhibits.

For more information, videos and more on the exhibit (in French), visit the Hotel de Ville website.

{My secret hope is that lovely Paris-based blogger Cee from Coco and Vera will take a look and report back!}

    ha ha, I’m hoping to get down to see this exhibit next week… if it weren’t for the fact that caterina is visiting on saturday, I would probably be queueing up on the first day! Report to follow soon :)
